Why do people explore? Is it just because "it's there" or are there more complex reasons than that? Have you ever thought about exploring yourself? Are there places you want to go? Why do you want to go there? What made Meriwether Lewis and William Clark successful explorers? What inspires astronauts to venture into the dangerous uncharted territory of space today in much the same way Lewis and Clark ventured into new territory two hundred years ago? What makes an explorer "tick?" These questions will form the basis for today's videoconference as we focus on why people explore. Students will have the chance to interact with Lewis and Clark re-enactors and other modern explorers and also share with them their experiences with exploration. Where do you want to go? Why not join us for a journey into the mind of "the explorer"?
